I must agree with that aesthetic touch as well; they fill in the gaps of background immediately between the two characters and portrait borders with a soft, natural vibrancy. This gives the foregrounded badgers an excellent amount of attention, since they contrast the aforementioned colors with their black and white fur. I definitely can't take my eyes off the toned one!
But here's another sweet observation: isn't it neat how the umbrellas' colors correspond with specific characteristics in the badgers?
1.) The Blue umbrella with the toned badger's eyes
2.) The Green umbrella with the chubby badger's eyes
3.) The Pink umbrella with the chubby badger's ice cream.
I love that kind of color relationship!
