Another great picture done by
featuring Azar getting a good fill of food. I decided it had been a long time since I did a story, so I made one for this, featuring Alicia herself helping Azar out in a way she knows best. I hope you enjoy the story!
It was a quiet day at Alicia's restaurant today. The Pack Leader was a popular bar and restaurant within St. Heimself, with a reputation for some of the best rated food for such a small establishment. But today was just one of those quiet days, or possibly the quiet before a massive rush for a late dinner. Only a handful of customers dotted the tables, enjoying their food. Even the kitchen was quiet, none of the workers needing to cook anything at the moment. It was these kind of dull moments that Alicia hated. It meant there was no money coming in and it was just boring overall. She crossed her hands beneath her ample chest and leaned against the counter of the bar with a sigh, her large stomach providing ample cushioning. A result of her taste-testing many of her own meals to know they were among the best.
Alicia's ears perked up, however, when she heard the ringing of the restaurant's outdoor bell. While there was a bell by the front entrance to let Alicia and her workers know when customers came inside the restaurant for food, there was also and outdoor bell for a certain type of customer they occasionally had the pleasure of serving. Humans, elves, and anthros weren't the only type of customer in St. Heimself. The city was also known for its larger than normal population of dragons. Another addition to Alica's restaurant's success was that she had the addition of a large, open outdoor area for dragons to sit or lay down and enjoy their food, with a retractable roof built into the side of the building to give them cover it was raining. It could fit six or seven dragons at one time, and dragons were generous eaters for a restaurant like the Pack Leader.
Alicia went outside to personally greet the dragon customer and take their order, since she had little else to do at this time anyways. When she stepped out, she was surprised and pleased to see that the dragon was none other than Azarosna Astrogaze himself. The white dragon was well known throughout the city for his feats of heroism alongside the rest of the team of Dragon Knights that were of legend. Azar was one of the few that had stayed within St. Heimself when the team didn't need to be out stopping world-ending evil. The white dragon had become quite famous his feats, but also for his inventions. The first dragon to ever work on mechanical inventions, his work had revolutionized technology not only in St. Heimself, but most of the country as well. As such, it was an honor any time he came by and the Pack Leader could serve him.
"Hello again Azar, nice to see you out of your workshop again. Did you need some good food to help get new ideas running in your head?" Alicia asked, smiling as she took out a pencil and paper to take the dragon's order. Azar almost always cooped himself up in his workshop to tinker away at new inventions, whether they worked or not, so it was somewhat rare to see him out. Even so, he was a somewhat regular customer to the restaurant and Alicia could only assume he liked the food. On top of that, she also liked the fact that even though he was famous and held in high regard, Azar was easy to talk to and quite friendly. He didn't seem to like boasting about his status unless he was joking.
"I thought it might be good to get out and get some real food, not the meals that are brought to the workshop. And what better place to go than here?" Azar said as he smiled over towards Alicia. But the wolfess noticed something in that smile. It was...weaker than normal, not as bright. "I'll take the number two meal." he said, gesturing with two claws the number.
"Alright hun, it'll be out in a bit," Alicia said, eying Azar a bit curiously to see what was bothering the dragon. He had come here often enough that she knew when something was wrong. But she decided to wait until after he had his food to question him about it.
An hour later, after Azar had finished off his large cut of venison with sides of beef, Alicia came out to give him his bill. Dragon meals were far more expensive but the large reptiles always seemed to have the cash, and Azar was probably one of the wealthiest of them all due to his invention success. "Alright Azar, I can tell you're not yourself today. You didn't even try to make a single joke while I was out here. What's wrong?" she asked, crossing her arms in front of her again after handing the bill over.
The dragon sighed and looked from side to side, debating on whether or not he could or should talk about what was bugging him. But after some mental debate, he came to realize that there was probably no harm in telling Alicia. After all, he had come to the Pack Leader so often that he considered her a friend, and she was always so nice to him. "Well, the truth is I came out here because I, well...I, um...I was feeling a bit lonely." he said, tapping his claws on the ground. He was a bit embarrassed to admit such a simple thing, but it was the truth. "The workshop has been feeling emptier and emptier these last few weeks, and my close friends of the Dragon Knights are either...gone, or they're so far away that it would take considerable time and effort to visit them." he explained to her.
Alicia nodded in understanding. "Never though you'd be one to feel so lonely. How come you don't have a dragoness to come home to? Where's Misses Astrogaze?" she asked, walking closer and nudging him gently on the arm.
Azar gave a soft chuckle. "That's just the problem. There is no dragoness in my life, and I think that's what's causing the problem." Azar admitted, looking down at the ground. He was a bit nervous talking about such things, so much so that he was just doodling scribbles in the ground beneath him with his claws. "I don't even know how I would get to meet one of them."
Now that she understood the problem, Alicia could see how it was bothering Azar so much. Dragons were long living, and to go so long without someone was particularly sad. Alicia started to think, wanting to find a way to help the dragon instead of leaving him in his sadness. She put a hand up to her chin, pacing back and forth while Azar pulled out coin from a pouch attached to a belt he wore around his waist to pay for the meal. The wolfess stared at her restaurant for a minute before suddenly an idea hit her. "Aha!" she cried out, snapping her fingers and turning back to face Azar.
"Aha what?" the dragon asked, his head tilted to the side a bit in confusion.
"I know exactly why none of the dragonesses in the city haven't shown interest in you, and how you can change that!" she said, grinning wide as she walked back closer to Azar. "The problem is Azar....you're too intimidating!" she exclaimed.
"Intimidating? I know I've got a reputation, but I'm really not that intimidating. All my friends and acquaintances say I'm one of the friendliest dragons the know." he told her.
"Yes, yes, yes, but they only know that because they know you! And they've known you for quite some time! But what do you think a dragoness thinks when she sees you? You're cooped up in your workshop so much that its rare to see you on the streets, and all this muscle makes you much more intimidating than you think." Alicia told him, giving the dragon's arm a squeeze as much as she could to prove her point. "To any dragoness, I'm sure you seem unapproachable. They think they're not good enough for you, or that your already taken. If they hardly see you, how could they know that you're still single?"
Azar was silent for a moment, taking in all that Alicia had just told him. Was that really the problem? He had never thought about it in such a way before. Especially since he never thought of himself as intimidating. The dragon's tail swished along the brick floor as he tried to piece everything together and find a solution, the same thing he would do if he were working on an invention. "So what would your solution be if I'm too intimidating." he asked her.
Alicia's wolfy smile got even wider and toothy. "That's simple hun. We're going to make you look less intimidating and more loveable. And the best way to do that is to fatten you up hun." she said, patting Azar's side.
"What?!"
"Oh, don't be like that." she said, waving a paw dismissively. "Hear me out. All that tough, impressive muscle makes you look intimidating and makes the dragonesses doubt wanting to be with you. But if you're soft and round, they'll see you as something more huggable and loveable. On top of that, the fact that you put on weight shows that you're not too busy for a dragoness in your life. If you have time to get fat, you have time to devote to a lady in your life. It's a bit of reverse psychology, you know?" she explained, walking back to in front of Azar.
"But I still have a duty to the Dragon Knights! What if I'm needed and I'm no longer in fighting shape?" Azar asked with a huff, still quite suspicious of this plan.
"Didn't you tell me that you're 'officially' retired? Besides, you're just one dragon. A famous and successful one, but they can't be relying on just you now can they?" Alicia asked him, putting her hands on her hips.
Azar looked from side to side nervously, still unsure of this plan. It was true that he was technically retired from being an active member of the Dragon Knights. Not because he didn't love being part of the organization, but he was putting more and more time into his inventions. He certainly could be called to serve again, but that hadn't happened for a very long time. The Dragon Knights were an almost world-wide military organization, and relying on one or two famous, key members wasn't as necessary anymore. There were other knights these days were just as skilled and powerful to become famous in their own right if given the chance.
"Besides, if this really doesn't work out, there's no amount of weight you can't lose with a little work." Alicia added to try and seal the deal. "You just come to my restaurant every day, and we'll get you bulked up. I'll even only charge you half, since I know you can afford it even at full price."
With a sigh, the white dragon closed his eyes and rubbed along his temple with one paw. "Alright...alright...I'll give it a try. If only because it really has been a pain to come back to the workshop every night and be in there alone for days." he told her. "I'll be back tomorrow so that we can begin." he said before getting up. Alicia gave him a smile and a wave goodbye before going back into the Pack Leader. Now she knew she'd have something to do each evening, whether or not it was busy inside.
Azar's new "weight gain" program would proceed as such: every evening he would walk down from his workshop to the Pack Leader, and Alicia would personally get him double of what the normal meal size would be. She wanted to help him bulk up quickly after all. The wolfess had calculated everything out just enough so that she could afford to feed Azar the extra food, and still make a profit. Even so, she was thankful that the Pack Leader was so successful so helping the white dragon didn't put too much of a dent in their profits.
After each meal, Alicia would have Azar stand so that she could take a walk around his body to get a good look and determine if he was at a proper size and weight yet. Of course, the first few weeks only left him with a distended belly. She'd then let Azar leave with a smile and a wave. It certainly helped that Azar's daily routine no longer consisted of training and flight drills of the Dragon Knights, and just him sitting in his workshop working on whatever new inventions he could come up with.
It wasn't until about two months into the "program" that Azar started to show some doubt. Alicia came out to take the dragon's order, looking quite pleased at the dragon's progress. His belly was large enough now that when he laid down it pushed out to the sides a little, and hung rounded and a little wobbly when he was standing. The white dragon's limbs had a layer of pudge around them now that was starting to hide the muscle, and they would quiver whenever the dragon took one of his heavy steps. Even his neck and tail had just enough fat that it would pinch if he turned either one to the side enough. "How's my butterball dragon tonight?" she asked as she once again took out the pencil and paper for his order.
"Well...that's just it Alicia. I'm...having some doubts about this." he said, nervously pawing at the ground.
"Doubts? Now why would you be having any doubts? Don't tell me someone called you fat and you let that get to you. You've got to have tougher skin than that!" she said with a huff, not wanting Azar to give up when he was this far along already. She was sure her plan would work!
"It's not that, not exactly. But...it's been two months of this, and I'm clearly putting on weight," he told her, pushing a paw into the side of his belly, seeing it sink in just a little before letting it bounce out. "But still no one's showed any interest in me. All I'm really starting to get are some stares when I walk through the streets each day.
"Were some of those stares from lady dragons?" Alicia asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes, I did catch some of them starting. But they aren't the only ones. Other dragons, humans, anthros, and-"
"Then it's working!" Alicia quickly cut Azar off.
"Huh?"
"Some staring is better than no staring Azar! Even if dragonesses aren't the only ones staring at you, those dragonesses are certainly noticing you now aren't they! They're staring in surprise, in curiosity! They're not looking at you thinking how they'll never be able to get with you, they're looking at you and trying to think more about you. About why you would let yourself go and if that means your not tied down by obligations to the Knights. And if you're not, that means you could be open for a mate." she said giving a wink to him. "You have to have a little more faith, I promise, promise, promise this will work. Just keep going for a few months longer." she pleaded, putting her hands together. She wasn't trying to get him through this because it made her restaurant money, but because she really did want to help a friend. And in all honesty, she also wondered what it would be like to fatten up a dragon. She was getting both things done at once!
"Okay...okay, I'll keep going. I'll just, try not to let the looks bother me." he said, giving her a nod. And so, Azar gave his order and Alicia's plan to fatten him up for his own good continued.
Four more months passed and Azar went from chubby to downright fat. His belly was so large that it pushed his legs apart and turned his normal gait into a heavy waddle. Despite being able to still waddle from place to place, Azar's belly dragged on the ground wherever he went. The dragon's belly was so large, in fact, that the armored scutes along his underside had been spread apart, exposing more of the softer scale flesh underneath.
His arms and legs were now completely surrounded with fat, hiding the muscle that allowed him to move such bulk from place to place. The white dragon was so heavy that he could no longer fly, but Azar felt that he would get back into flying after he had a dragoness and could afford to lose some of the excess weight. His tail and neck were like thick sausages now instead of the snake-like appendages they were before. And even his draconic rear was rounded out and larger, though he didn't like to admit it.
Azar waddled his way to the Pack Leader just as he had been doing for half the year now. This time however, he found it odd that the roof was pulled out and that red curtains had been hung all around the edges to cover the entire dragon eating area. Pushing the curtain opening aside, Azar stepped in and found no one there. He had expected some sort of important dragon to be here for such a nice display.
"Oh, don't mind the display. Just trying out something new tonight." Alicia said as she came outside to meet Azar. The dragon flopped down onto his side, the most comfortable position for him now with his new bulk. "Ready to order?" she asked. Azar nodded.
"I'll get the number four meal." he said, holding up the number on his claws as he always did.
"Right away!" Alicia said, sounding a bit happier than usual. Azar rested in the area for a while, easily taking up space meant for two dragons, as his meal was cooked. Though, beyond the normal sounds of the city outside of the red curtains, Azar could swear that he heard movement and some talking just on the other side of the curtains. But he wasn't sure if people were just walking by and stopping to see the new look of the outdoor area of the Pack Leader, or he was imagining things.
Within the hour, Alicia returned carrying a plate of food for him. "Now Azar, before you eat there's something I want to show you." the wolfess said as she moved slightly behind him, near his head. "Remember how I said I was trying something different tonight?" she asked him.
Azar nodded to her. "Yeah, I do. You set up these curtains to make the outdoor area nicer. I like it." he said. Alicia merely chuckled.
"Well, not exactly. These curtains were meant to keep you a surprise. Tonight is the first ladies night at my restaurant. Specifically, lady dragon night." she said, giving a wink to him before pulling a rope next to her and the curtains spread open, revealing to Azar that on the outside there were six or seven dragonesses just sitting there. And now, they're attention was solely on him. "I think you're just the right size now for these ladies, so time to get to meeting them. Don't worry about them swarming you or anything. I told them that they can only hug you're big soft body if they feed you something from this plate. Might help break the ice a little." she said with a chuckle, still holding the plate of food with her.
Azar was speechless at what he was seeing. But, he was finally getting what he wanted. Or at least a start. A bright red blush appeared across the dragon's snout as he smiled sheepishly at all the dragonesses. His body was displayed towards them in a far more seductive pose than he had ever meant it to be.
"Uh...hi?"

"Uh...hi?"

You bring up an excellent point. Azar is indeed part of a special part of his world's military. But there's so much tubby art of him no one would ever know!
While I use Azar within his universe, I always consider the fattening stuff that happens there to be "non canon". But always fun to write about though!

Ah, gotcha :p
I guess it's sort of like Denya, I've thought up a massive world for him where he takes on powerful foes, even the god of destruction himself, all in his quest to learn about mankind, considering he doesn't know much about people because *whispers* he's autistic o3o
but no one knows 'bout that, here he's just a big ol' fatteh :3
maybe canon Azar and canon Denya would get along well, just like non canon Azar and non canon Denya :p
