I can already see the impacts on your style due to your hiatus... the slightly more realistic approach looks very interesting, and it's certainly different from the way you'd have drawn that before.

That's good to hear! I'm keeping at it - this is closer but not exactly what I was going for - a lot of it is in the eyes I think.

And it's definitely looking really impressive! Just like LolzGuy said, I can definitely see various small improvements and changes in your style that make for quite mix of realism and your iconic gritty (read: awesome) style.

I'm gonna show this to a friend of mine as soon as he's back from his service. He's been fascinated by your art for a while, and let's just say that big badass, armed and armoured wolves appeal to him a good deal.

Interesting weapon design too. Some kind of fancy PDW? And I like the tiny semblance of background in the coloured piece too. I know it's not the focus, but I get the sense this guy is sat on the step of some bombed out building perhaps?

The weapon was just a quick mashup of a FAMAS and AR, but it needs more work. I was referencing a photo for the pose, so the loose shapes back there are something, but I'll never say haha

As soon as he's back, I'll send him your way. I'm sure he'll have plenty of good things to say about you and your ever improving artwork!

And I'll be intrigued to see if you ever add to this piece, background-wise OR with the fascinating weapon this guy has. I'm always interested by cool guns, and your gritty worlds you create, so... I'm excited for the prospect of both things.
