Amusing fact: this never happened to me... even tough at the old house we had an entire family of bats at the large work area upstairs... it had an opening near the ceiling and the path to the rest of the house was via two dors and a corridor.. maybe thats why they never bothered us: a peacefull large area all for themselves with only the ocasional power tool to awake them...

we got it out okay eventually, it was just a tough fight because I'm such a pansy.

well at least they were polite neighbors! Here it's like the bats are wayward drunks who ended up in the wrong house. Using windows instead of doors. cursing you out when you throw towels on them, etc, etc.
