Well it's a nuisance if your camera gets blasted, but it sucks much less than getting a permanent part in your hair...

Why does the shot at the bottom of the page have two fireballs?

Working on a hyper-velocity round that ejects a projectile with an extra charge to drive it faster. With ever more effective body armor, trying to work up truly hyper-velocity ammo, but still have managable recoil for the shooter. This version would have a large-ish projectile with a shaped charge or other exceleration-enhancing propellant charge that would go off after leaving the gun. But not a rocket, as it would need a propellant container. There are various shaped charge/self-forging projectile technologies out there that might be tweaked to drive a bullet to very big numbers, over 2Kmsec or better would be my target.
