When my very dear friend, Flamey Deer got engaged to her fiancé a year ago, she approached me with a very flattering request. She wanted to give a piece of art to her new husband as a wedding gift...and she wanted me to be the artist.

Naturally, as we have been such good friends for such a long time, I was overjoyed at the prospect of doing something so important for her, but at the same time - not going to lie - the pressure might have scared me out of my wits a little. Regardless, now that their wedding is in just a few days, I can finally post this and send the image on its way.

Her requests were that it would be a manga style, depict her and her new husband in a bridal carry pose, and that they be in grayscale.

(I haven't drawn manga-style in about 6-7 years now, so this was definitely a challenge. You can still tell that I don't draw manga anymore in some of those more realistic-fantasy details in the clothes and flowers... Oh well. She likes it, so I'll count it a success!)
