Nots it from the 1950s Colliers seires Man Will Conquer Space Soon! authored by Werner von Braun and Willy Ley.

The Frau im Mond is a bit more of a classic rocket, which incidentally also invented the countdown to increase dramatic timing for the launch.

It will be interesting to see how you can achieve a scale effect when it's all put together.

I'll be happy just to get it done. I let it drag on and now have to hurry up and get it out the door (and paid for, typical money mis-management means I REALLY need the flow)

This eventually going to a museum?

I have no idea. I'm working with the curator of a corporation, so it could be going into a collection, in-house display, or even a couple of options of museum display. They don't tell me.

Please tell me you'll at least get something financial out of this.

Is it one of those 1/48 scale monsters? I have a much modified Real Space N-1 in 1/144 on display at the Museum of Flight in Seattle.

More like 1:96, and converted to flight-worthy status.

I got the 1/72 Dragon kit of the Saturn but was VERY disappointed in that it had next to no details like the old 1/144 Monogram or Airfix kits. The real thing is all fussy with hatches and fiddly-bits all over the outside.
The Estes Saturn was in 1/100, got one I ought to build one of these years. 1/96, is it some kind of adaption or something with the old Revell kit?

Building it bigger would mean sorting out all the fiddly details I'm NOT adding to this build. The original design was expected to be built in orbit and used a LOT of rigging wires and odd structural higgery-pokery all over it. So much so that I still haven't gotten a full notion as to how fussy it was intended to be- though that was partly due to ever-changing details in the published art. The design was being considered as a kit by one of the outfits that do SF stuff, but they backed out of it, likely due to all the nightmare stuff going on and the likely compromises and/or conflicting data on what and how parts were suppose to go together. This is one beast I have no interest in duplicating for myself- though I am still thinking about the Mars mission version and definately doing the launch vehicles, sort of predesecors to the N-1.
