A simple design style for the island on a 13X13 grid. Each section on the map would also have a sub map to better display the terrain and what areas are available to search in.

Once teams are picked, the teams are given a section of map to work make their camp at either in the northeast, northwest, southeast, or southwest. Their camp location is secret from the others to prevent being attacked.

As the day cycle goes, the team members move about the different sections of the island to gather ingredients and clear tame the jungle. At the start, teams won't be able to go more than a 1 tile in any direction of their camp. They will have to clear the overgrowth and obstacles blocking their path as well as hostile animals. Certain obstacles will require certain items. for instance, a boat can be uses to go into deep water or a bridge will be needed to get over a river.

Before long, as resources are used up, the game will enter the more dangerous stage where the teams are more likely to encounter one another, maybe even find another team's base. Now the battle is not only in obtaining food, but keeping it from the other teams and if feeling gutsy, grab what they have yet to shovel down their throats.
