Got my hands on some Artist Trading Cards that Canson sells, so I thought it'd be a very good opportunity to use my new Prismacolor markers and G-Nib

What are the colors you used on the purple thing? That's pretty close to a color/effect I kept "seeing" in my head but couldn't figure out how to create it on paper.

I used a Lilac prismacolor marker, and left white gaps where I wanted the lighting to be, then I layered the lilac for a bit and put a layer of Blue Slate over it where I wanted the darker shading to be. The edges of the lighter areas are like that because I filled in the white with a purple prismacolor col-erase pencil

Awesome! Thank you. I kept trying with brighter blues (er, layering a brighter blue over a purp) and the result was more garish than I wanted (basically I had that... one shade of neon sign in mind [curse word and slightly flashing gif warning] http://33.media.tumblr.com/b86cd2ab.....22uwo1_500.gif closest example I can find.)
