I've been getting request for otters lately and since I had this long, thin peice of left over illustration board, it seemed a natural subject for a painting. 7 x17 watercolour on illustration board.

This is the closest I've seen to what I would consider and anatomically correct anthro. A lot of otter drawings rely solely on otter-unique identifying features (the ears, and tail specifically), completely neglecting the musculature and more importantly the face. It looks very right.
I'd tend to agree. I try to stick to the same philosophy but like to maintain change through tail, head and paws....
