The Mistress of the Mountains has killed her fair share of humans, sure but these days she's seen in a mostly positive light by the servants she employs and the people who live in her kingdom. For the most part, her days of fighting anything other than other dragons is over.
The sword and shield were a trophy from a general of an army she helped repel and the various books were either written or commissioned by her.
