Ahh id recommend using a program with layers, and tracing over your own pic with a pen tool, then filling it then. Most programs are costly but a program like FireAlpaca is free, and can help clean up your pictures!

Its not that hard to get into.

Well I use Paint Tool SAI, and a monoprice tablet. The tablet was 40$, but a friend sent me SAI.

But I was suggesting Fire Alpaca because it may be easier to get. THOUGH, it also has a "linework" layer, where its easier to trace along your image using a mouse.

Well I downloaded FireAlpaca, so now what icons do you press to add layers or trace line-work with a pen tool?

Click the little blank sheet at the bottom left, and it will add another layer, above hte image, and then look like http://puu.sh/i5lU8/86c42d9561.png
So if you then draw on the top layer, and erase, you don't erase the image. If you wanna hide your image, simply click the little circle to the left and i will hide it easily [on the layer with your image].

And on the left are the tools, the top is the pen tool and simply move the bar with the number next to it to chose the size [the percentage is for opacity].
And there's also a bucket tool.

Thats the gist of it.
