"Photo-Op: Memorial Day, 2015/Full Scene" (taken by Glenn)
posted 10 years ago Anthro Artist
I have one more 'photo-op' for "Throwback Thursday" from my brother Glenn, just to wrap up this latest 'sweeps month' of mine (May, 2015)...
As a follow-up to my brother's previous 'photo-op' from his smartphone (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16680447/), here is the full scene he took a digital picture of, at Veterans' Park in Margate, Florida, on Memorial Day, 2015 (where a replacement version of the metallic 'fallen soldier' statue (center) was unveiled, earlier that morning).
This small park has additional commemorative plaques (left), representing various forms of America's armed services, plus a flagpole and a picnic shleter for visitors. In the background is a canal, where locals can launch their boats, rafts, and jet-skis from two marina ramps. And just beyond the canal is the Cypress Creek Greenway, where joggers, cyclists, line skaters, skateboarders, et al, can commute from the Everglades to the Atlantic Ocean - with no interfering auto traffic on this concrete stretch of the path. (I, myself, use the Cypress Creek Greenway to commute to and from my janitorial gig in Pompano Beach, nearly every day.)
