I'd probably draw the face and ears with marker, put hair on the back for a tail, and then maybe sew extra appendages onto the doll. Crossing my fingers I wouldn't come out looking like a human centipede!

The tail looks like it's temporary ... the ears though, getting the marker out of the fabric will be hard.
