Golden is still an animnatronic. Meaning he is still metal and about to touch a live wire. To much current would still fry him so he increased his electrical resistance by heating his hand.
It is the same thing that happens when a computer gets too hot. It goes slower because the electrons have problems getting around.

I don't know... but something doesn't add up when u heat up ur robotic arm and then punch though pretty much a large power current of electricity, something has to happen in which the animatronic itself would disrupt the electric flow though it's robotic body causing serious malfunction or just fry it completely, anyway, wouldn't it be much simpler to just pull down the power lever and call it a day? Golden freddy is neither pretty stupid, or insane... Or both
