Commission for
Redliox, of his werewolf character Wyldfire
I honestly couldn’t think of anything to call this aside from ‘nightmare’, as this picture was pretty much just that…a nightmare. Far be it for me to complain (hold the laughter, please ) but if having trouble with drawing the background, gun and robotics wasn’t enough to steer me close to a complete breakdown…nearly loosing it all after hours and days of work WAS. Yep…this picture was just about completely lost entirely, I was good hour perhaps with being done…and I had to reboot (Photoshop loves to screw up when I’m near moments to finishing stuff) and when I tried to open this, it wouldn’t open. I couldn’t access it…at all, somehow the thing had been completely obliterated, despite my saving it every ten minutes for fear of just that happening!
So I go to Simba, and there’s no gentle way to say it…I was hysterical, and after patiently calming me the way he does so wonderfully, he investigated. He asked me how far I was along, and I told him I was nearly done, so he worked a good 45+ minutes trying to retrieve the file. The original wasn’t recoverable unfortunately, but while it wasn’t he fortunately scrounged up a backup screen capture. A lot of the resolution quality was lost, but everything was there. This still meant I had to re-do some of the colors though, but fortunately I had multiple copies, including the original ink for the wolf, spider and gun. The original colors were too distorted, so I had to spend another few days doing my best to restore this to as close to the original as I could after slapping the original inks over the messed up version.
So…much as this is a commission for Redliox, a good part of it goes to Simba for this as well…because if it wasn’t for him I probably would’ve found some way to refund the remaining commissioners and thrown in the towel for quite some time, I was really devastated over this. So, thank you to him for taking the time to retrieve something I could work on, and to Redliox too for being patient with me.

Thank you very much for completing this DaBoz, Simba told me you were under enormous stress.
I think you did well, and stayed closer to the subject as well.
The true judge will be my friend who conceived this guy, but from my experience he's always picky and lousy in judgment, lord knows hid taste in women testify to that!
Again thanks Daboz.
