My fursona in all his glory...
Rufé
Based off my very first fully fledged anthro character who went under the same name. The only one earlier than him was Sammy squirrel, whom I could not use today for his defining trait was being a christian (which I am no longer nor will ever be again!).
Rufe like me is a goth first and foremost. A romantic style goth with black lace and ruffled shirts. The special feature though... Rufé most often wears a long skirt instead of pants... He is a male, but for him this is part of how he identifies himself... a modest gender ambiguity filtered through goth culture. The way you see him dress. Is in fact the way I dress in real life. No longer tied to metalhead or mainstream culture. Only following my own identity as a unique person.

Goth as Rufe is, he is however NOT a fan of standard gothic/industial/dance music but in fact solely listens to metal and related darkwave subjenres, EXPLICITLY BLACK METAL AND DEATH DOOM. Music is HUGE in his and mine life. Without it we die.
You can see I have also dressed him in a kutte even. Covered in band logos and references... I IMPLORE you guys check out these artists and hear the sound that makes up my spiritual side! If anyo0one really wants to get to know my char and myself, this is essential. I have provided links to albums I make reference too in this drawing.

I have had lots of identities in the past... but THIS one is my flagship character. He is meant to go everywhere and be exactly me as I am in life with no filters or posturing personas. The first time ive ever let myself open up completely.
I have to thank my chosen god whom I worship... Pan.
Pan the goat-man god of the Greek pantheon represented the union of nature and music together... 2 of the most absolute essentials of my life. And the symbol of man and animal as one. But He has helped me more too. And that is with my sexuality. Which I knew well, but kept separate from my other identities. Pan is known for his sexual freedom. And thanks to him I am finally beginning to put into context my sexuality as a furry with my spiritual and artistic social side. He has given me this path and I am greatful as I feel stronger than ever in being free as who I am. That is why he appears in this picture.

It is also final to note that if you look closely on the lapel of his jacket you will see an anti-Nazi badge. Unlike those who tend to listen to black metal or fantasy fans, Rufe and I are extremely political and lean FAR to the left when it comes to social issues. I ID as somewhat of a humanist if anything. The preservation of people's rights to a happy life is the most strongest belief I hold. I am extremely against racists and nationalists and loathe the concept of nations and war in general. I am NOT patriotic of the USA nor for any other country. I only stand for us as people... and so far as they are not destroying the environment that gave them an existence and supports them still. I believe man cna live in harmony with nature and himself and others, but first he hust reject materialism, nations, borders, and capitalism. As I stay here on FA you will here a LOT about my thoughts on the social and political landscape in the world. I am a fighter.
