Damian has advanced magical capabilities but has not had the chance to show them yet. The Picarto stream commission with the "magic" theme proved to be the perfect opportunity to show off his abilities! You can see that not only does he use a sheet of ice as a shield for incoming attacks, but is also preparing a multitude of smaller shards with his right hand to use similarly to a shotgun blast. His wings, which are usually hidden, are also materializing due to his inability to concentrate on the magic required to hide them when in such a state. He's surprised, but determined and strong enough to take out the threat.
Very cool character and story driven piece. I often wish I could get more commissions like these. :D

Looks pretty badass. I really like the "fading into view" effect of the wings, and the ice effects came out great, with what looks growing energy along with a slight mist from the air being chilled.
Also, wasn't expecting the background, but it works really well.
