We have a local family of <strike>Red-Shouldered<strike> coopers hawks living just up the hill, within a 200 foot radius of the house.

(They could be Cooper's Hawks, I'm bad at defining species). They make quite a rucus, and just bring a smile whenever I hear them. I managed to stalk within 20 yards of this guy, sitting on a branch a foot or 2 above the ground.
