I experimented with Second Life a while back. I haven't played it recently, for several reasons: I was very inactive online for several months, it's difficult to play at home because my only reliable internet there is dial-up, and I have no friends in Second Life. It's a vast, lonely place when you're wandering around by yourself.

I was originally planning to buy an avatar (probably from Luskwood), but I'm a cheapskate, so I decided to experiment and see if I could figure out how to build my own furry avatar. The eventual result was this avatar of my Sonic fan character Benign. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1279600/

It's a little goofy and unsophisticated compared to stuff made by experienced avatar makers, but I like it.

It was built on a female shape, because the male shape always ended up looking too muscular, no matter how scrawny I tried to make it. So Benign has oddly feminine hips. Oh well.
