And so the first era of VancouFur came to an end. The early years; the small convention years. The furs who had come from all over the world departed; taking with them their Fursuits, their purchases, their friendships, and their memories.

The sun set; darkness once more drew itself upon the land. But out to the west, even after the last pearls of twilight had faded, a new glow emerged. A fur flying out of the airport looked down and was almost blinded by a great flash of light rising up from the sea.

Then a whisper haunted the night:

“Return…”

Silently biding its time, the lost cradle of furry civilization had sent her beacon out to the entire world, and now she waited with unabashed patience; knowing that’s someday her children would come back to their home.

Atlantis was waking…
