I should have changed the dialogue in in panel 3 to "It's over NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAND!"
Not only would it have fit in with the story, but I think it would have given it depth.
The thing that was the biggest challenge in these strips was drawing guns. I had casually drawn them before and the think I learnt from doing that is... I can't draw guns.
They're so intricate, so many mechanical bits and bobs, you have to do it right otherwise it looks like some weird wobbly jelly gun. The trickiest bit was drawing the gun in panel four as that perspective wasn't easy to find. But once I had an image or two for reference, it's just as easy as drawing a couple of shapes.
See, guns like people are easy to draw when I have a reference point, but when it's with no reference, everything just looks like weird wobbly jelly.
