If this was inspired by something, I would have mentioned it. It's not. I did what I thought was hot.
I do know 'Aeon Flux', am a fan. But was not thinking of it at the time. Don't even know what's the connection you see here.
And I don't know what 'Reign: The Conqueror' is.
I abhor when people assume/guess I'm bitting off of something else, especially when I make no mention of it.
Please keep in mind, I always give credit where due.

That...was not my intention. AT ALL. Sorry if you interpreted my words as insulting. I was not in ANY way shape or form suggesting you ripped anyone off. I should have clarified that the art style and wardrobe simply REMINDED me personally of those shows and I liked that. NOT a rip off by any means it just reminded me of it. I meant it as praise, NOT an insult. Although clearly you took it as an attack. I can only humbly apologize and show myself out. It's a pity the internet is such a hostile place. Peace and love and all that. I'll hold my tongue in the future.
I'm sorry, I should have attached something like "I'm not mad. So to be honest, you should know....". Damn the limitations of text.
I understand the "reminding" thing. An unfortunate unstoppable reaction with humans. I hate it when folks share it: but I've come to understand it's something I'll never be able to deflect people from doing. And I also understand MOST folks who share it, don't mean it as an insult. Which is why I try to not comment; It always bugs me, and it would be unreasonable for me to comment every single time someone did it.
But sometimes...I think it best to speak honestly; like how else are they suppose to know such comments are...distasteful? Because most other freelance artists I've come across hates it too. I suspect most of us keep silent most of the time because we know it's an endless battle (can't speak for them, but for me, it's partly my reason). I was just being honest, and straight forward. No anger behind my words as I typed them, (sorry again for not getting that across). This was just a time I thought it best to be honest.
So yeah, I always figure that such comments are shared with a 80% chance of it not being meant in an insulting way; mostly 'cause they know not what they do. Yet It ALWAYS bugs me: when folks say such things when I haven't mentioned anything about an inspiration or etc.. Certainly not mad :), you, like most, don't(didn't) know how I'm (and possibly other artists are) prone to take such things.
Sorry for the long reply. I tried to keep this short, but thought you deserved a summary of my stance a bit :) So please, I want you to feel free to comment, and feel however you feel. Just....now you know a bit of how I take this type of thing.
P.S.
I am grateful you like my work. Thank you :)

In all honesty it was very late at night and I was tired when I made the original post so my 'filter' was turned off. I wasn't even trying to suggest your art syle was the same or your sense of clothing design was the same. I was simply trying (and failing MISERABLY) to state that I perceived your art to have the same uniqueness and level of stylistic splendor that I admire in the works of Peter Chung. NOT that you were 'the same' or 'inspired' by his work or anything like that, just that like him you've reached that level of uniqueness, that your work stands out. You've created an 'artistic signature' which I greatly admire and respect. No one would ever mistake your art for someone else's. At the risk of insulting you AGAIN, your anatomy reminds me of ancient Greek art and I find it gorgeous and VERY tasteful. I'm guilty of losing my eloquence and the aforementioned 'thought filter' when I'm severely sleep deprived and sick. I apologize for the (Agreeably) distasteful remark. Hopefully I've better explained myself here. Cheers.
To further clarify, YES I was originally suggesting SOME degree of inspiration in my original post but quickly realized after posting it that it was uncalled for because as I stated your style IS unique. The only similarity I was making reference to is to the costume design of the main characters of Peter Chung's 'Reign: The Conqueror' but even then I was NOT implying anything was directly copied. Just that like the 'Greek' style I sense in your work (Not saying it IS Greek it just reminds me of it) It was just a loose connection that was formed in my sleep deprived mind and I carelessly posted in in the most blatant and insulting of ways. The explanation above is what I SHOULD have said, had I thought more clearly as opposed to what I MEANT to say. Hope that makes sense. I'll stop babbling on now. >v<
No worries I get it :)
OH, Peter Chung's "Reign": Okay, I know that is now, although I never found the time to watch it. Maybe someday I'll watch it *shrug*.
You didn't need to explain yourself to me:) Though I certainly understand wanting to be clear to another. But thank you for taking the time to engage in a friendly discussion :).
I do find it interesting to hear how people perceive my work/style (no matter if I agree or not). Like your Greek mention? Never heard that one before. Amusing to say the least :) Thank you for sharing. I really appreciate your time.
