So here we have a delightful day out of dragon lounging in the warm sunshine, an activity well know to be highly beneficial to dragons. A problem has arisen to mar the perfection f the day though. Shato has grown hungry, and she is quite adamant that this is MY fault, and thus MY problem!
Anyone who knows me well enough knows how much I enjoy a good lazing and lounging. Anyone who's spent enough time in my company has probably joined in at least once :) It's been said by many such people that I tend to extrude an aura of laziness that makes other's dozy and lethargic when I'm partaking in one of my minimal movement moods *smiles* I've always hypothesized this to be a tertiary sexual characteristic. After all, if a lovely lady in lethargic in my presence, well then she may well be less inclined to turn down advances. Indeed it may prove too much trouble to even bother shaking off an overly active mounting green male, thus securing the line of the species though the lovely mechanism of apathy. Hehe, but hey - nature (and over eager dragons) doesn't particularly care HOW the deed gets done so long as it does, right?
At any rate, Shato id hungry, but also lazily relaxed to the point that she doesn't want to do anything about it. The state of overly loungy lizardess is pinned squarely upon my shoulders (justified or not), and after sufficient grousing, cajoling, and good old girly whining, she has managed to rise me up form my motionless state to send me off to fetch a solution to her problem! Everyone knows though, that an object at rest wishes to remain at rest, so it takes a hunk of effort, some good hard stretching, and some thoroughly jaw cracking yawing until I'm awake and alert enough to tend to the demands of my mate *smiles*
This piece was a project that had been in the back of my head for a good while. Since the background was going to be reused, I wanted to select an artist that did very nice landscaping, and I think everyone can agree that is the case here! Admittedly Tanraak was not the first choice for this project (though to be fair, I hadn't found his art yet either!), but the original artist who signed on ended up having to decline when personal life left them unwilling to indulge in adult related commissions. The funds that had been set aside for this project languished, and I came across them recently when consolidating US fund in preparation to bring the rest of my cash to Canada. Having found Tanraak in that intervening time, we once again had an excellent candidate to bring things to life, and he did an exquisite job with it too. Thanks very much Tanraak for all your hard work and efforts!
