Whew! I've been working on this for a while.

This is a special commission I was asked to do shortly before I became very ill in late April. She's based on the popular internet image of a photo-shopped kitten with a unicorn horn and butterfly wings. I tried to make it as close to the image as possible with decent success. Like all artists trying to improve their craft I see where I could improve next time, but I am still pleased.

The pattern was made by me, the plush was constructed by me out of faux fur. The feet are red minky. Her face details are needle sculpted with safety eyes and nose. Each color was cut separately and quilted together. After she was sewn and stuffed she got a haircut with both electric trimmers and blending shears for human hair styling.

She's filled with polyester fiber, and poly pellets in the feet.

Her wings were printed at spoonflower.com with my own art on their low pile minky. The wings are supported by wire and stiff interfacing. The wire goes through the plush at the shoulders and can be posed to an extent.

What makes this plush special is she has a heart shaped space in her chest which will hide an engagement ring. A childhood friend of mine asked for a delivery method for said ring. I am told she doesn't frequent Deviant Art and isn't really aware textile artists can be commissioned to plush things so it is ok to post the image before he pops the question.

Now that this is out of the way I can move onto my other commissions!
