Name will be Alis, thanks to  aquatics . Doesn't have a gender, but the fact that Alis lives in a community of nuns, Alis is often perceived as one. Alis doesn't mind this arrangement.

The nuns help people face their own deaths, and also take care of corpses. Alis has trouble dealing with the ones still holding onto life though, who plead forsomething to keep them in the realm of the living, while the community sees death as another part of life, and will refrain from wasting too many resources in actually curing anyone (not a hospital folks lmao)

(part of it is because they also eat part of the corpses. they are very helpful to the community, but they won't cry for you no heh)
