Neverwell! It's been a while!
I'm so happy to know he's still around. I think this is the very first time he made a full-body & full-colour appearance, am I right? This looks fantastic. I've never seen a character like him before! I'm glad you kept his dark brown face "mask" because I love it to bits and I think it's one of a kind. The rest of his body markings are just as good. I'm not surprised, though - I knew they would be! You always come up with excellent character designs and your imagination seems to be boundless.
His proportions and shapes changed quite a bit! I remember he was more of an anthro character a while back. Being a cartoon maniac, I like this new version a lot. Naturally, you're always free to tinker with his appearance any way you want. Your style experiments never cease to amaze me! You may have drawn your characters many times but each time you bring something new to these depictions. Personally, I like to spot the tiny (or sometimes big!) differences and compare them with your preceding artwork. You don't stagnate at all.
Good thing Neverwell can finally enjoy some wine, haha. He looks tired but rather content here. That little fang poking out is absolutely adorable! The colours you gave him are a perfect-fit - I mean, they're not usual for ring-tailed cats, but he just wouldn't be the same if his fur was bright yellow. Vibrant colours ain't for you, Neverwell. You're the best just the way you are. Oh, and I'm happy he has those arm markings 'cos they remind me of long gloves. Hooray for glove-like markings!
Thank you for posting this. I find your personal art the most appealing and seeing your characters always brings good ol' smile to my face. They look so alive! Neverwell's thick tail is great and I can imagine him wiggling it as he sips that wine. I wish I could comment more often; hopefully I will be able to be a bit more active in Summer. I'm still considering a comeback but I'm scared as heck, haha.

yup, this is his first time as far as i remember! thank you! i was actually pretty disappointed with his markings and colours - they feel too generic to me and i might end up tweaking them a bit. i feel like he looks more like a fox/raccoon hybrid than a ringtailed cat and i don't like it! i'm glad you think they look good though :D
yess! i'm thinking of giving him both an anthro and more cartoon-y form like i did for jolene. i've never been great at keeping character designs very consistent, so i'm sure he'll look a bit different every time i draw him, but yeah! i felt like drawing something kinda goofy so more toon-y proportions seemed to fit.
yep! unfortunately for neverwell, he's probably gonna spend the next day in bed nursing the worst hangover of his life and wishing he hadn't drank at all. at least he feels good right now though ;D i like to imagine alcohol makes him really sleepy and warm all over instead of loud and obnoxious like it does some people. he's probably just thinkin' happy thoughts. yeahhh, i looked at some ringtailed cats after i finished colouring him and instantly realised they don't have colours like his at all pffff. i thought the arm markings looked like gloves too, that's actually why i gave them to him haha!
thank YOU for your lovely comment! i'm glad my art brings you a little happiness. don't worry about not commenting much! i don't expect comments at all, but when you do comment, you leave the best comments ever! i'd love to see you make a comeback and i know many others would too, but ultimately you should do what makes you feel most comfortable. i'll definitely continue to support you either way :D thanks again!

Oh! I understand, and even though I like those chocolate colours a lot, I will be waiting to see you working on his design a bit more. I'm sure he's gonna look neat!
Great to know Neverwell is the quiet drunk type, haha. I know both of these and I can confirm the quiet one is much, much more tolerable - even nice at times!
No problem <3 Ohh my dog, I didn't mention the blue scarf! I had noticed it earlier but I forgot to say anything about it, darn it :D I feel so honoured you decided to keep that scarf, thank you! Now I feel like I contributed a small part to this character, yay!
