The First Edition. Nantes : Printed and Sold for the British Market by the Sieur de Montbert, at Rue de Gorges 5 AD 1715 ...................................................................................... A long, long time project. Finally finished. The biggest efforts were done to include EVERY user who owns an enduring pirate character with his own flag design. One-hit characters were not included. If someone is not shown on the display, yet is owning a pirate character and wonders why he is not included: I asked on all pirate groups and in direct notes multiple times.
All the names and the flags, except the ones marked, belong to their particular user. Hopefully you all approve!

I had never thought of how the different pirates had identifying flags before. Just the images and names alone speak of a very well thought out series of stories based on actual pirate lore. I like how you designed these flags to indicate the world is populated with Anthropomorphic animals, seemingly Wolf dominant, but there's a whole lot of other creatures depicted, of course. This reminded me of a "Hobby" I discovered researching the Great Lakes Freighters that plied those waters in the early 20th Century. The "Lakers" were often identified by the colors, widths, and positions of bands painted on the Ship's funnels. Possibly a hold over from those days of yore, where the sight of a black flag fluttering from the top of the mainmast would strike fear of a cargo or trading vessel's crew.

Ugh, no. I don't think I can find it. I'll have to post it up when I'm not tired.
Anyway, he's an idea I had from mishearing lyrics in the song Lover's Wreck. So... he's a cursed pirate captain who probably suffers from love lost, and pretty much does whatever the devil says. Which is mostly robbing and killing, and then tossing the loot into the sea. His crew ain't exactly mortal, and mortals who do join tend to end up dead. Though those who survive might not stay mortal. Cursed ships are like that.
Probably the only tell-tale sign that he's been touched at all is his tail. The black tip smolders constantly, as if there's a fire within waiting to blaze up. And some swear that it does when he's angry. Which you'll probably see if you manage to put a bullet between his eyes. I don't think he's invincible or even immortal, but probably hard to kill. And getting shot still hurts.
Dunno if that qualifies him. Don't bother including him until I've got him more developed. Don't even have a flag for the guy yet. Once I've a better idea of his powers, personality, and the details of his ship and crew, I'll be sure to let you know. =)
