A bit of grilled chicken
They may be some furs out there who wonder if Vrghr is serious when he chats about making HUGE batches of things, and stuffing his furry friends full (and then some).
In answer, Vrghr presents "Exhibit A": A grill chock-full of chicken, For Two People! In fact, there are 3 more chicken breasts still over in the Smoker (off scene to the right here) that wouldn't fit on the grill. They got finished up in a second batch.
With the weather warming (FINALLY!) and rain absent for the moment, Vrghr took advantage of the niceness to run a double tray of boneless, skinless chicken thighs and a single tray of boneless skinless breasts through the smoker. While the meat was picking up some lovely smoke flavor, wuff was busy in the kitchen experimenting with another new home-made BBQ sauce.
Once the sauce was done and the chicken nicely smoked, wuff brought the sauces and chicken together on the grill and charred and caramelized the sauce on the birds for some luscious flavor.
Just look at all that smoke rising! Wuff smells like a campfire now! *chuckles*
The chicken shown is sporting a combination of the new sauce, a lovely, sweet and savory Peaches and Bourbon concoction, along with the last of the Bacon Bourbon sauce wuffy made for the Baconx5 Bourbon Bison BBQ Burger wuff made a while back.
Some of the thighs and 2 of the breasts got the Bacon Bourbon BBQ, and the rest got the Peaches & Bourbon BBQ. Got to say, wuff and his roomie can't seem to make up our minds on which one we like more! They're both Fantastic on the chicken!
Luckily, we seem to have enough chicken not to worry about running out of samples before we can figure it out! *giggles*
Most of this will end up in freezer bags, to be warmed up for yummy lunches at work, or for a quick meal at home.
