For those unaware - there is a remake of the game Klonoa: Door to Phantomile in the works for the Nintendo Wii. Recently, Namco-Bandai released an online survey that showed a picture of a different design for Klonoa with pointy ears and no hat and let surveyors compare the current design with the pointy-earred one. Fandom says the sky is falling. 8D

Seriously, how can he hover with those ears...?

BTW, I think the design is cute. I just think it's taking away two of the easily most recognizable design elements of Klonoa; his ears and his hat. It'd be a bad move for more than just the reason that the existing fans are having a stroke over it.
