Assemble the Titan
So, while stopped in Mississippi to get some repairs done, I was able to use the conference room while I waited, as our yard down there isn't very big or has a designated driver lounge. With me, I had my alpha proto type for another game I'm designing "Assemble the Titan."
You each play a rebel ally, leading your agents (the various dice) to do tasks and try to find the pieces to an ancient defense system that will drive out the alien invaders. Who and where you are is left to your imagination. All you know is you're the last of those of your kind who has the will to fight off the invaders. There are 3 set aliens right now, 3 are in the making, 3 more only in concept. Which ones you face will very, depending on the difficulty you are looking for.
The short hand of the game, you're chucking dice against the game. The Enemy Alien Factions are not played by characters (though you can designate an "Alien" to handle their turns) They have agendas to end the game in defeat for the rebels. Your objective is to Assemble the Titan and destroy or pacify the aliens. [When the titan is assembled, it has the power to destroy entire faction sheets] The cost to wield it is life force, so you must have enough people to feed the machine in order to drive off the aliens.
Using actions, rolling dice, and a variety of cards, can you Assemble the Titan?
Eventually, there will be a contest to see who can come up with the aliens. I don't really have full on concepts of what each faction will look like. Just basic themes or details. I'm gathering a few items for the contests prizes, such as a refurbished Xbox360, a Bamboo Tablet, and *shrugs* Cash? We'll see.
Assemble the Titan, concept and all but the dice are by me.

1-5 players. 1/2 player plays the same, as you can solo it and it starts at needing 3 pieces. Then each additional player adds another. The Titan Piece cards have multiple tasks (3 each) to acquire the piece.
No particular canon or setting. Just a scifi idea that literally came to me in a dream. The whole game concept and the original 3 aliens. The Vindcaer, who have come to enslave your people to start a colony with your people as the work force (kinda based on Xcom aliens), the G.U.E.R.G. is a galactic government come for the planets resources and one of the few aliens you can defeat without destroying. Finally, the Dread/Dredd [haven't decided on spelling] that are a hive mind of all races, including the aliens, who have suffered in the war and have lost their minds. Only then do they get picked up by the Mad King, a hidden leader of the Dredd that sends them out. like an ant colony.

It will be a game where those kinda details are in the background, but there is always the chance for the story and more to come out in future games or little comics. An idea i thought of for each of the games would be to have a comic of each game to be included. :3
More that the story is told through the flavor text, intros on rulebooks, and pieces. Sentinels of the Multiverse is a good example. Though they didn't have an outright comic when they made the game, they had a bunch of flavor text on each card that helped paint the story.
So the descriptions and story for each Enemy's faction invading would be printed on one side while the details for the game are on the other. Like Twilight Imperium.

Nah. Their canon is so set, to introduce my aliens would be complete Heresy and they'd burn me for sure.
No, it came in a dream during a time I was playing XCOM: Enemy Unknown each night and listening to board game reviews while driving. So this is what my subconscious spat out.

Thanks. It'll be fun for all those who really like random dice games.
Never played that one. I saw blood bowl, and I've done Warhammer Fantasy, Warhammer 40k, Did an Apocalypse match, played some of the video games, and the board/card games Space Hulk, Chaos in Old World, etc. When was it made?
