"Trap" is a derogatory word that emphasizes the extremely negative stereotype of trans women as fake and deceitful, only disguising ourselves as women to lure in and trick unsuspecting men. It's an image that incites transphobia and violence.

In the context of this image, it just means "Surprise, you thought it was a girl. But it's not." Aka being lured into a trap.

Derogatory words are only that if meant in that way. How many times have you heard a black dude call another black dude "Mah nigga" but if YOU called him "nigga" he deck you? Seriously, it's pretty obvious it was not meant to be mean. You'd have to be an idiot to call someone trans a "trap" IRL if you didn't know them well and were saying it as a joke, as they'd take it the wrong way. *points to art above* This is an image that incites tents to be pitched and nosebleeds. :3

So strange someone would come in and start fighting for trans women when the pic is of a femboi and the word trap means many different things.
