This is Stryker, er... Captain Stryker... he's currently lost in the ocean probably due to a ship battle that he lost. He didn't go down with his ship though, I haven't any idea why because this doesn't really have a story XD
This is from a challenge I am currently doing.
There's two themes...
1. Rain
2. Ocean
Number one is the theme I have to do and number two is the background theme. That's how I set it up.
Anyway, if you are interested in this challenge go here: http://artificialmutt.deviantart.co.....EDIT-536873139
Story:
As the night went on, the waves crashed against the sides of Stryder's ship, tossing her back and forth, "Look alive men!" he yelled over the roaring storm, "Draw back some sail! Don't allow the wind to take tare her apart!" the sails were withdraw quickly.
"Captain!" one of the crew members called out, running towards Stryder, "I don't think she'll hold!"
"She'll hold!" he took the helm and pulled the ship up a massive wave.
Hours of battle and the crew was spent, Stryder glance over the horizon, "No... After all that, they are still after us?" he gasped in exhaustion, "This can't be, they are gaining! FULL SAIL NOW! NO TIME FOR REST!" he yelled, grabbing ropes himself and hoisting the sails open with his crew. The ship lurched forward with a jolt but it's main sail was torn, the enemy was closing in.
Stryder growled, "Ready for battle, we aren't running away! Lay achor on my command." the ship drew near, readying to ram them, Stryder dodged the attempt, "LAY ANCHOR!" The ship jerked, the bow came up and slapped back into the water as she settled at a stop, the sails were pulled down and canons were blowing them to pieces, relentlessly. They were out numbered, out matched, "FIRE!"
Their attempts meant nothing, the metal plated armor on their enemy kept them afloat. Stryder frowned, he had to accept this fate, there was nothing he could do. "Men, it was a pleasure... Abandon ship, I wish you luck!" he called out, taking position on the main deck, he watched them bail.
Their enemy loaded their fire barrels, blasting them into Stryder's sinking ship to set it ablaze. He walked threw the rubble blasting around him before he to was sinking. Stryder soon lost consciousness, he felt he shouldn't leave his ship, he'd go down with it. It seamed to be hours later and he had awoken on a piece of flotsam.
"Huh?..." he groaned, "It wasn't my time eh?" he clung to the remaining piece of his ship in dismay.
"I have lost my ship and I have lost myself."
