I took the first step to also selling instrument accessories at the shop. I bought a bunch of music themed finish safe non-abrasive cotton material that I am going to cut into guitar cleaning rags that will be cheaper than the ones sold at guitar center (and probably work better.) I am treating them with a hot detergent free rinse to make them extra soft and enhance the absorbent qualities of the material and also supplying them with a resealable plastic bag to keep them free from contaminants.
Next, I am going to look into ordering strings at whole sale prices. My goal is to sell strings, rags, polishes, fingerboard treatments, feedback busters, capos, string cutters and winders and all those little things that people should have in their guitar cases.
The best part is, with my odd hours and convenient location, I'm betting I might be the only place open for business at the odd hours you may need them.

The ones I use here generally are D'adderio EJ16 and EXL110s because they are consistent, predictable and affordable. Not to mention, they are both really great sounding strings. The only other guitar strings I use here are the fender bullets that will use on guitars with wilkinson type trems. My plan was to talk first to fender and D'adderio but buying local is always good.
What are the perks of those strings in your opinion?
