Uh oh.

Clever use of the black and white, it really suits not only the reaper but overall the feeling of the holiday.

I really like the stylistic shading style in this, it's really neat. I've always wanted to try drawing something in a style like that, but it's so much more of a pain traditionally.. but you pulled it off pretty awesomely. Very well done :P

;D if you didn't know/couldn't tell, I did the Blue figure traditionally. If you don't know me by now, I -love- working with ink pens (or pigment liners) and they're fabulously suited to pure, high contrast, black and white work.

The purity of the black and white comes from adjustments to curves in photoshop, where I also added the background. Blue pretty much filled the page in my sketchbook, so I couldn't really do the background I wanted there. Everything was sketched out in pencil, then traced over with pen before erasing the pencil. Then I went back in with a sharpie and filled in the really large black spaces so I didn't waste my lovely pens. After that, I just touched up corners where things touched with the pens... which gives the effect that no two lines touch at a perfect line-to-line, but have a curved shape connecting them... that crap is always fun to me. xD
