So uh.. Awolnation…

ugh fuck I still can’t really form words on how amazing this concert was..

We got there like 4-5 hours early (first ones in line X) ). We chatted with a few people in line (who were all mega awesome btw).

The first thing I noticed about Aaron when he walked in the room for the meet and greet were his blue socks FFFF. (OH Before I forget we saw Dru riding around on his bike when we first got there.) They were all so nice! I gave Aaron the paintings and he kept saying how beautiful they were and how I made him look prettier than he was.

When that was over, we went back outside to wait another hour. Got back inside (FRONT ROW CENTER YUH) and waited again (x.x). I like the first band (Irontom), the second was alright; not my taste though, BUT AWOLNATION. DEAR GOD I FELT LIKE I HAD A RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH THEM.

Dru killed it on the guitar and Kenny was amazing in Knights of Shame. but Awol- oh dear… He was just… Idk how to describe that.

I wouldn’t say its weird more unique… but he wouldn’t really make eye contact with anyone (yeah he would grab peoples hands occasionally but that’s about it). He would sit at the front of the stage (like have his legs hanging over) but you could tell he wasn’t there. He was in his music. Just by the way he would close his eyes and listen to everyone singing his words back to him and how you can just feel his own energy when he got into it. (but when I was at the meet and greet he was a totally different person; making eye contact and very soft spoken person)

I just can’t get the image of how haunting his eyes looked though… Truly beautiful… He’s working on an entirely different plane and its fucking amazing…

I have about two and a half rolls of film to be developed and hopefully a few pictures turned out okay XD I shall post those when I get them.

(also poor Isaac [far left] had to sit in the sun but he made it work! XD )
