I totes did not doodle this. Gift art received from the lady of talented heap-big http://www.furaffinity.net/user/savannahhorrocks/ (gurl-meat chokful)
I have a morbid sense of humor. I am not ashamed of it, and take a kind of glee from the connecting with other similarly morbid senses of humor. This can tangentially include things which have a cuteness factor that is enhanced by how generally horrible the subject matter it depicts is. Its one of those things that is hard to describe and yet is glaring in it's obviousness when I see it.
As a gift Toonymonster is precisely that thing. Receiving it by surprise lifted my spirits to literally laugh out loud delightfully. Its one of those shining little examples of how lines of ink arranged on a two dimensional surface can conjure up feelings so specific to an individual as to be equivalent to a true-name spoken in a language deeper than can be expressed in text. Viewing it the first time was like encountering imagery from my head that had escaped into the wild and changed just enough to taste new to my eyes encountering it loose on the outside.
Its so rare I feel like I am able to identify with anyone outside of my own head and rarer still that the connection results in imagery that manages to penetrate through the barrier of indifference I keep myself emotionally insulated within. Having this kind of thing in my life gives me an example of something out on my horizon to keep me looking forward to whatever is coming next that much more.
How do pieces of our self image become entangled in concepts like humor or caricatures like this? I don't know exactly,..but I strongly suspect trans dimensional poylps, microcyte spores, or recursive monster displacement syndrome. And that is not to admit to knowing where any of the actual bodies might be buried,.. or who it was exactly that got hit over the head with a shovel. (Which I have already sufficiently apologized to the aggrieved parties) Suffice it to say little doodly unexpected monsters in the shape of my creative affection really brighten my day.
