[Below is an annotated transcript of a partly recovered data log. It is still unknown if any of the recovered data will allow us to uncover the true reason behind the Seventh Arc Incident.]

Faith Moyra personal log date: cv&4ytich5TTil [Unknown as to if this is do to corruption of data or if the user actually typed this in for the date]

Apparently I am to keep a personal log every day I am awake during the trip. Seeing as we are in three months awake and nine months asleep shifts I don’t have a clue what I am supposed to say for most of these days anyhow. Am I to list that I had breakfast yet again with the rest of the crew each time? Not much goes on during my days but oh well. At least this is piece of junk has a speech to text interface as well as I can type it out. Makes it interesting to see it GECK [Though now used as a common expletive it was not known to be used as such back then. Possible word replacement of common expletive for the time] some of my words up. Did not think I had any sort of accent.

I guess I should talk a bit about my fellow crew a bit. I am told that this thing is sealed away unless something like a murder happens [The encryption on these files was as good as on the star charts] so I am free to say what ever the GECK I want. That still does not mean I have much to say. There are only five awake unless it is time to switch shifts and I drew the short straw of being the only female on my group. Unless you count the Doctor. I guess I will start with it. Him? Her? Bah. It will have to do. It says to just call it Doctor but that seems silly if we ever have another doctor awake. Doctor Rodes has gone through so many of those splicings that they look like a creature from a nightmare and are using a ghE5^is ##sihn talk. [Corruption, assumed to be a device for communication] It says that the samples it used was from one of the native creatures on the planet we are going to terraform so it has an advantage in adapting already. I will stick to a filter mask and only the necessary mods myself. Here I was thinking my custom legs would make me stand out.

Next up would be the pilots. They are class, capital a, GECK. [Assumed to be different expletive then the previous usage] That is all that I will say about them. At least I can stay away from them both, outside of meals that is. Last but not least is my direct boss. Not much can be said about him either. Seeing as how he is a boxhead [Research suggests that this is a derogative name for full conversion cyborgs] he does his job and he joins us for meals even if he does not eat at those times. If I did not know he was the only other active cyborg then without his ID chip I would not be able to tell him apart from the wall most of the time. Damn sure is good at his job though. Almost as good as my Slavedriver was. [Multiple instances of this subject referring to a Slavedriver but no record of the subject being a slave] Only thing that bothers me about him is when I see him in box form. That is not a sight to look at before a meal if you want to keep that GECK down.

Well the only other thing to talk about is that strange toolbox. I was going about my normal run around the cold deck. I know, I know, I am not supposed to be in there but it has the most clear space for me to run in across the whole ship. I let the Doc know every time I go down there at least, even if I don’t use the keycode to get in. [Subject knew a way around the documented security. Suggests that a stowaway may be possible as well. Without cold sleep unknown how long a stowaway would last] Anyhow, I was running and in the middle of the isle was a toolbox. At first I guessed that a previous shift had to come down here and fix a sleep pod then forgot their tools before I realised that all of our tools where accounted for. So I stopped to take a look. Box was a little old fashioned and more than a few dents on one side but the tools? They were some GECK good tools. I still don’t know where the box came from but as long as it is not registered then the tools are mine. Extra bonus for the bad luck of being paired up with this lot.

Well that has me caught up. Future entries will likely be just me telling my wall how GECK boring my day was.
