“Hunh, you’re makin’ some halfway decent time there. You’re coming up on that ten kilometer mark in just under… lessee, four minutes and forty seconds. Ain’t a bad go. But tell you what, once I finish with this here recalibration I figure I should be able to keep the angular momentum in line enough to make that run ‘round the bluff in four thirty even with the extra few tons of equipment on my Bushwacker. I’ll tell yah what man, the Levy-346 fusion motor’s got the power, yah just need to keep up with the calibrations on the actuators or else the-”
“Mailer would you shut the fuck up.”
Doing more technical scifi work. Wanted to try doing something of my own design instead of more star wars stuff. You know it is a lot harder to design stuff from scratch rather than making something that already has dozens of existing references.
This time another piece of Austican military equipment. This time instead of a ship or an aircraft or a tank, we got a Type 99 Mechanized Cavalry Bushwacker unit. Very fast moving, moderately armed, and modular in design, the Bushwacker is designed to disrupt enemy armies rather than to engage in front line combat. Bushwacker units focus more on flanking and causing hit and run chaos, relying on their speed and mobility. Their bipedal locomotion is cheaper than anti-grav units, and their numerous sensors and highly dexterous feet allow them to easily move over uneven terrain that would slow down tracked or wheeled vehicles.
They are also fast enough for some half-drunk troopers to try doing races around the desert mesas.

Mmmm the catapult was one of my favorite mechs, and it was one of like... maybe 5 or 6 that I had gone through and looked at for ideas. They all have neat designs, but I had to go with one with backwards legs cause they look cooler....and I wanted this thing to be pretty light on it's feet too.
And I do want to design more stuff, but the next mechs I work on I want to move away from more military looking machines and get something more alien in design

Hah yeah in retrospect I am not entirely sure what that can is for or could be powering.... probably not the big guy.
And thanks man...it is just stuff I really enjoy doing. It means a lot to me...
Hmm and he seems to know his way around one, so I figure he at least knows how to drive it, so maybe at least half way decent.
