It'd be hard to give you a real idea of how long I worked on it-- it was very stop and go, spanning the course of perhaps almost half a year and often went a month or weeks without being touched. At any one time I worked on it from three hours to a few minutes. Total worktime probably came out to something like 30 or so hours.. a lot of its hand-sewn (everything but the horns) and therefore took forever. It's plastic mesh and foam based, and I never did give much thought to where I was going with it so it did involve a lot of revamps and starting over (for example, I made a whole wig out of gray yarn and it ended up having a kind of awful Fraggle Rock style afro.. which was ditched for the horns at the last minute). The handpaws are recycled from a wolf partial from last year, which took maybe 3 or 4 hours to do... they're dollar store gloves with Fimo claws hotglued and sewn on (I put little half circles of black felt to hide the stitches and glue and it looks pretty good IMO).
I'll be working on other suits later, probably mostly dragons because they're rather uncommon and really diverse. Anything goes with them :3
