I'll be uploading all of the stills from the large illustration from Weight of Void, then maybe culminating with the whole illustration since so much work went into it.

This is the scene with Void and the Spider Queen. As you can see, the thread is not present because it was added later in Flash. Integrating animated parts with a painted piece is a struggle, and I really want to do it more with After Effects sometime. I've seen some great things produced from that.
In case you were wondering, the Spider Queen's design is based on the spinal cord, sensory neurons, and the cauda equina. Her abdomen is supposed to be the nucleus of a nerve cell.
