Hehehe. So this was a fun little piece commissioned by
digitz, and it features our favorite super-cool burr getting some sweet, sweet revenge (with a little help from yours truly) on his cousins, Jax and Max. Those two are always teasing poor Digitz, but they don't seem to have learned that what goes around comes around. So now we have the two bear cousins in a friendly, high-stakes game of poker (probably tricked into playing by Alioth. He's a tricksy one, that cheeky devil) with Digitz. From their babyish attire, blushy cheeks, and disconcerted looks, they seem to be losing. Pretty badly, in fact.
But yeah, I had so much fun working on this one :) I love when Digitz commissions me because he always comes up with silly ideas that are lots of fun to draw ^^ Hope you guys like it :)

Thanks so much Ali, I love how this turned out. I think my favorite part is actually the top frame. I've never seen you look so devious in a pic, it's fun seeing you with that sly grin. And you made me look super cool and confident. I feel like a hipster burr...in a good way!
But you did a great job on Jax and Max too. It's so fun having characters like that so that I can enjoy seeing them being babied. It's fun having some "villain" types of characters because it opens up ideas for me. So it's always cool to see them come to life in a pic like this.
I didn't know about Ali's devious side, so I'll use that to change the story I've been writing on this one...I was originally thinking about having Digitz being the one who convinced Ali to play, but now I can change it up to have Ali being the one convincing Digitz to do it. That's pretty fun because it's kind of like having Ali being in the daddy/older brother role.
