well this may be cheating but I remembered I do have a surplus Israeli gas mask on hand

I figure using my steel pot helmat and the gasmask I could have most of the cyborg ready made. I can snake a cooling and water hose up through the filter attachment. mahe a basic furred (with a few metal plates for effect) hood that I can wear under the helmet but over the mask straps I can even wire up the eyes like I did in the other head if I like.

the only problem is it feels like a bit of a cop out. plus I'm hesitant to mark up any piece of suplus I've got.

on the other hand the mask has been stuffed in a storage contaner under some books for the better part of 2 years so I shouldn't feel to guilty.

also the reson you can see the orange is that the helmats inner lining if still part of the other head and I don't wanna tear it up till I've decided what to do
