So once again Kiyiya surprised me with this amazing gift. We recently saw the Northern Lights lit up our skies here in Calgary Alberta and she even saw them in Ontario and was inspired by Snow Buddies to 'paint' them. While not directly animal related, the Canadian Inuit believe that every good sled dog they have ever had formed the lights long ago and that by 'whistling' to the lights, not only made them shine brighter, but made the sled dogs of long ago, come closer. I guess legend and myth still override modern science as this legend is still passed down even in today's Inuit communities at their Pow Wows.
