I think the infinity wawr was actually around 1971 or so, but early 70s. First MLP was early 80s, so about a decade.

It's not that new of a thing. An idea that has been used from very early on is that Celestia and Luna are either Sleipnir's daughters or his sisters, which makes their (grand)mother none other than Loki. Using the Marvel version of him was very quickly done.

XD don't worry, I'm not about to go back there. The show was good for about the first season and even then it was only a pleasurable pass-time, not something I'd immerse myself in with too much art. This was just a fun idea I had and needed to bring to paper to get it out of my head :b
