So many styles of dog, I think I heard somewhere that they are the species with the most variation :)

I was thinking more like Underdog.

The one howling at the moon could represent just about any of the
turquoise coyote touristy trinkets sold at airports & souvenir shops.

The one lying down on the mat/carpet makes me think of the dog from Footrot Flats.
