Once again, while cleaning up my cluttered condominium here in Margate, Florida, I had rediscovered another work of my art - although, it's been so long since the last time I saw it, I forgot whether this four-part doodle (drawn with a ball-point pen) falls under the category 'fat furs' or 'furry inflation'.
It was rendered on the blank side of a Florida Department of Transportation flyer (about guard rails being installed throughout Florida's Turnpike and other roadways), possibly during a lull in my job as a toll collector on the Sawgrass Expressway (at the Oakland Park Toll Plaza, between 2004 and 2007).
The four images of the fattened fox are a sort of progression of his expansion - beginning with the upper-left doodle of him in his clothes (button-down shirt and pants with suspenders) seen from the front, and the doodle of him on the upper-right as seen from the back. Then, his belly explodes from its confines (with the buttons of his shirt and the suspender from his pants all popping off simulatenously) in the lower-left doodle. And finally, the lower-right doodle depicts the fox in a state of total immobility.
I don't even know if I had based this voluminous vulpine on someone else's character, or I just created him at random. And I certainly don't know what were the circumstances that resulted in the fox's circumference expanding to its maximum. But I still liked the results... and, I think, so will you!

It will still take me some time to find additional doodles of this nature (on the back of FL DOT flyers). I've also rendered such doodles on napkins, paper towels, and other forms of scrap paper. If I can locate some of them, I will attempt to post them at a later date...
