Oh-oh, a stray spiderbird! Leaving those sweeties on their own in the night is not a good idea: they are as peaceful and friendly as they are clumsy hunters. But upon getting hungry they become much less specific about what they eat.
It might be contents of a garbage container in the back yard, or your dog (if it will be able to catch it).
As a rule, citizens are first to take situation under control from the very beginning: they start tracking the bird and feeding it on a regular basis, so it would be nice and decent. Then they either "depart" the animal to its natural habitat or wait until it goes away on its own.
Some people, however, try to 100% domesticate spiderbirds and keep them as neighbourhood pets.
