(That title hurts).
Anyway, best picture of my costume for Halloween this year. I was a medieval plague doctor! It was pretty fun. Most of the people thought I was Spy vs. Spy (that shall be my plans for next year...), but someone did recognize me for being a plague doctor, which was awesome.
My friends and I also went trick-or-treating. Got about, collectively, ten pounds of candy... so between each of us, we got about a pound each. And no one asked us "Aren't you a little old to be trick-or-treating?"
Yes... a group of 19-year-olds and 20-year-olds going trick-or-treating. We're rockin' it old score and keepin' the Halloween spirit alive!
(Wow... I'm lame).

I tried trick-or-treating last year, but apparently Orlando banned the activity in residential neighborhoods due to 'health risks.'
So now all of the kids gather in strip malls and travel from commerce hut to commerce hut in search of free candy or sample products or whatever. I dunno, I wasn't allowed to join them. And because of them the store was too full for me to BUY candy. And you're not allowed to wear masks into Target, no matter what the time of year.
Really, it was a disappointing time all-around. Glad to see you had Fun though. ^^

What?! That's tragic. :C
Well we tried to go trick-or-treating in town, but apparently we learned that there was a policy where the stores could not hand out candy to anyone. (What?)
So we had better luck in the residential areas, especially in this one neighborhood because it was a very upscale neighborhood. Seriously... HUGE houses.

Ah shit that's creepy. I just got done with a dungeons and dragons game where plague doctors were actually actively spreading a plague instead of curing it. Their masks were more stylized by the company though, the goggles and the mask were set into a face-mask, and stylized to look like a raven [what better than a carrion bird, ne?]
No... that makes you awesome!
Yeah, which was what caused the Black Death in the first place, so I suppose it sort of worked.
The birdlike mask was because they thought the Black Death was spread by birds and that if they wore birdlike masks, the disease would go away from the patient and be attracted towards them and the air filters would then filter out the plague (or at least in... theory).

and of course the jews kept things alot tidier, and would bathe frequently, which ppl in that time rarely did, washing fleas off, causing them to be less susceptable, but still not immune. the difference was enough for people to notice, and gave them the idea jews held magic power
