A really silly gift for my closest friend, Master. Drawn shortly after wtaching Kung Fu Panda (which was rather disappointing in my opinion, but the animation was still beautiful). Oh so original, everyone were doing this back in the day. But still fun as hell.
Anyway- our characters, Uzo and Buern (as seen before in my gallery, here -> http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1212554/ ), standing there all dressed up funnily and striking some DBZ poses. I wanted to practice some watercolours here as well and I was rather okay with how the characters came out....as for the background...it's ugh, but it's there, hahaha...
But yeah, I'm very glad that I drew it, really. It kinda gave birth to a much bigger project...and working on it keeps me and Master sane these days, haha.

Mmmm... You and your ability to make art quickly... I was hoping to beat you to making some Kung Fu Panda art....
Uuuh, well, for one, you've gotten fricken amazing at watercolors since that one day I commented on this picture on DA http://riftryu.deviantart.com/art/Content-38415299 Honestly dude... I don;t want to talk abotu it... you make me jealous... and you keep getting better and better...
As for the take on the kung fu panda style... Really, it's remenisent of the style used but not a perfect example of it. Which in it's own way is perfect because it's kept personal this way. If anything, I'd say your style was a bit more detailed, though I haven't seen the "art of kung fu panda" art book, just the movie, so I could just be an idiot.
As for the art, it exudes personality, which is per usual to your works, but also the bright colors really are wonderful in this and reminds me a bit of the paintings I used to make when I was much smaller. The background reminds me of this desert canyon I painted once...
If I had to critique anything... I'd say the characters look a bit off balance... The anteater looks passable since she's probably just made a thrusting movement, but she would still have to take a step quickly afterwards to catch her balance... and her big head is probably making her a bit top heavy... hahaha. As for the bear... It's almost the same issue with balance.... He kinda has sea legs there (like... curvy and wobbly)... I dunno what he's doing... but he kinda looks like he's floating a bit, and he just doesn't really seem like he's supporting any weight on those legs and feet. His feet don't look like it's on teh same plane as the ground... yes... I think that's what I mean. :|

Hahahahaha.....I'm decent only with those very cheap watercolours, when you can correct some stuff with coloured pencils when needed. I suck at all those fanatastic-proffessional ones when they're too slippery to add anything with a pencil :<
Oh man....I'd like to see the "Art of Kung Fu Panda"....we don't have these fun stuff around here, bleh.
And...I don't have anything for my defence ....really. Buern does kinda look like a balloon without weight haha...I didn't notice it before. All I can do is pay more attention to these stuff in the future haha...
